  😭 No se cual es más triste, si la serie en caricatura o ésta película
  No he leído el libro así que no sé cuál es más exacta pero las 2 están hermosas
  Vitalis es un hombre al que siempre admiré de niña y ahora que tengo hijos lo entiendo aún más. Pobre Remi las cosas por las que pasó 😔

  "Rémi sans famille" wird von dem Anbieter, bei dem ich ihn gesehen habe, als "prächtiger Familienfilm" beworben. Als FSK ist 6 angegeben. Ich weiß schon, dass Kindern auch gruselige Märchen vorgelesen werden, aber ohne Begleitung würde ich den Film kein Grundschulkind sehen lassen. Es gibt bestimmt Gesprächsbedarf.
  Rémi (Maleaume Paquin) erfährt als zehnjähriger Junge, dass er adoptiert ist. Und zwar weil sein Ziehvater ihn zurückgeben - also ins Waisenhaus bringen - will, da er wegen eines Prozesses Geld braucht. Seine Frau (Ludivine Sagnier) muss er belügen, weil sie Rémi wie einen Sohn liebt und der Rückgabe nie zustimmen würde. Zufällig bekommt dies der Gaukler Vitalis (Daniel Auteuil) mit und kauft Rémi. Ab jetzt muss Rémi mit Vitalis,

  couldn't find it in its original french so the english dub made it sound kinda ridiculous at points but otherwise it was cute– my dad really loves this movie and i really love catherine deneuve (who was not in this but starred in multiple films with jacques perrin) so i guess it was a win win for both of us

  Don't trust this rating. I watched this with my parents dubbed in Italian. The dubbing takes me so far out of films that I struggle to enjoy them and even follow them properly.

  Le genre de films médiocres qu’on te forcerait à voir à l’école.

  Rémi enchaine tragédie sur tragédie, en fondant en larmes à la fin de chaque scène, puis en oubliant le tout à la scène suivante... pendant l’intégralité du film. Cliché de bout en bout, Rémi Sans Famille, ses mauvais acteurs (Daniel Auteuil, je t’aimais mieux dans les Sous-Doués), et sa berceuse ULTRA répétitive n’ont réussi à susciter qu’une chose chez moi: l’impatience.

  Remi, Nobody's Boy (Rémi sans famille) is a French comedy-drama film directed by Antoine Blossier. It is based on the novel Sans Famille by the French author Héctor Malot.

  Rémi is a young boy found abandoned at a church as a baby, but he was not an orphan for long, as he was taken in by the sweet Madame Barberin, who gave him a happy childhood. But difficulties come when his father has an accident and is sued.

  When he tries to take Rémi to an orphan they met with a former violinist named Signor Vitalis accompanied by his monkey Joli-Coeur and a dog, Capi. Vitalis decides to take care of the child especially because of Rémi's singing talent, who…

  Heartwarming adventure movie to find yourself

  A surprisingly great film. Some really good performances in here…especially from Daniel Auteuil. This film has some great costumes and a powerful soundtrack. The story is quite simple but it’s emotional, wholesome, adventurous and entertaining. I didn’t need to watch this but I am happy I did.

  A curious adaptation of a realistic novel featuring poverty and other harsh realities of the XIXth century :
  - one goes only through the larger motions, rushing from one event to another to keep a very young audience interested,
  - merge more characters than usual in classic litterature adaptations for the big screen,
  - opt for a brightly coloured palette
  ...

  The result is a dumbed down version of the story, but a working family adventure fairy tale, albeit at a very fast pace.

  (The boy was good but a bit too proper, neat and tidy for such a character.)

  Probably close to what Disney — or more largely a US film — would have made of Malot's book.

  As the big fan of the Novel, I was so excited that actually this story becomes movie. How Remi's journey still touch my heart.

  The changed of few things bother me, didn't realized that short of story actually need to be cut off at many things to fit 1 hour 48 minutes.

  It's nice one, many things I still like, but the big oh no how I can't feel the bounding between Remi and his mothers. It should be more than this, it's one of the core of the story.

  
  Regardless the memory of me with the book, the first book that I got from my Father still make me feel happy with this movie existence.
