As per our phone conversation, I will
wait to see if you print this.

Gerald A. Wilhelm[...]le Antieau, the
new manager of GCC’s bookstore, I felt
that I must relate an experience that hap-
pened to me and many other students
recently. Due to an error, I was sold the
wrong book, and I knew that I would
have to wait in line to sell it back. I have
been going here since 1988, and I knew
that was par for the course. However,
what I and the other students were not ex-
pecting was having to wait in two separate
lines, one to get a receipt and one to get
the refund. Although Antieau believes
that the bookstore has an ‘‘efficient
system,’’ I would have to disagree. I think
it would have been much easier just to
have one line so that what took me and
the other students at least an hour would
have taken much less time.

I will concede that this was the first
week of school, a[...]he idea of two lines
is a bit redundant. Although I may
disagree with some of Ms. Antieau’s
methods, I do agree with her that ‘‘there
is always room for improvement,’’ and
it is my hope that this letter will help Ms.
Antieau and the bookstore do just that.

This liberal scapegoatism sounds like
something dreamed up by Joe McCarthy
or Joseph Goebbels. Al[...]and neither is American conser-

I would suggest that denying women

liberties.

I can’t speak for Mr. Melton, but I
have never found that urinating in a bot-

condusive to personal dignity. And yet it
is something that the conservative
dominated Department[...]

It is time for a new American revolution.
Voters can make this a year that politicians will
never forget—we can fire them.

How?

Vote agai[...]s have voted themselves pay increases
against the will of the majority. They have voted
themselves free[...]job, then let’s fire
them, too. Eventually they will understand that
Americans want their country back.

Another 98 percent incumbency re-election
rate will only entrench these rulers further.

As an American I am sick of the same type of gar-
bage that Grant spoke of. I am sick and tired of my tax
dollars being spent o[...]eaucracies.

As a ‘‘Modern Conservative”’ I am opposed to the
dominance of government in my life.

I am tired of the fact that the legislature is cont[...]overnment there
won’t be a need for new taxes.

and reassured that ‘‘Auntie’’ Mo[...]official flights for shopping purposes instead of
something worthwhile.

With her willingness to do what she deems important,
it should be gratifying to note that we’ll soon need a
caretaker rather than a governor.

The same will happen with Goddard or Symington on
the saddle of[...]nce concerned novelty
items.

“Instead of using so much space on items like shirts
and sweatshirts d[...]ent Steve Stockmar.

“‘The bookstore needs to get its priorities straight,’”
wrote student Elizabeth Pulliam. ‘‘If I need a greeting

unfair buy-back policy. I was charged over $100 for

I realize that the bookstore is leased to the Follett Col-
lege Stores Corporation, of Elmhurst, Illinois, but I
believe the philosophies should be consistent.

I came to campus to get a pre-law education, not to
get an education in the art of getting ripped off.

fun way to work around their fears.

thinks the society will help broaden his in-

The group will meet every two weeks,
with an occasional impromptu meeting.

a lot of good feelings.

It still amazes me to think of how
far I’ve come...from staff writer to
sports editor to managing editor and
finally to editor-in-chief.

I never would have made it this far

I’m an old-fashioned, patriotic kind of
guy. I like the American eagle, the flag,
apple pie, mothers, etc. I’m especially
fond of eagles.

To demonstrate my patriotic feelings,
I installed a remarkably distinctive

It’s a mind that would force a 6-year-

that was what he would pay me to carry
